  16. I have an A3000/25/14M/EGS, and the "non-port" Emplant model.  I'd like 
  17. to run MacPPP over the Amiga serial port.  I've checked the FAQ's and 
  18. searched various Emplant homepages, but can't confirm whether this will 
  19. work. I've installed V5.5, and MacPPP dials, but MacTCP doesn't seem to 
  20. be enabled so it won't connect.  This is System 7.1.

  22. ShapeShifter (demo) runs MacPPP/MacTCP really well, but it's 
  23. *incredibly* slow.  I assume this is because I'm running off of a 
  24. virtual disk, but I don't know for sure.  If ShapeShifter has decent 
  25. performance, I'll register it immediately and retire Emplant.  Does 
  26. anyone have any performance comparisons, or advice on what to do?
